Every last Wednesday at 6:30pm, Metronome Life, Morden SM4 5BL



This year, we got a brand new logo. A huge thank you to Ivan Boyanov for the beautiful design, and to everyone in the group who shared ideas and feedback.

In June, we took part in Mitcham Carnival. We got to practise our marching in the Carnival Parade where we first showed off our new T-shirts and banner. We also greeted many new faces throughout the day at our stall. It was lovely to meet you all!

Late June also saw one of the biggest highlights of our year when we took part in the world famous Pride in London parade! A huge thank you to Colliers who sponsored us. Their generous donation, and the money raised at their Pride Month Quiz Fundraiser with Mama G, covered all the T-shirts, our parade banner, and more!! A special thank you to all who took part, in particular our amazing Queenz who lead the way and wowed the crowds (see video above). We hope many of you will join us again this year, and for other prides elsewhere.

In September, we rounded off summer with our annual picnic in Morden Hall Park (a huge thank you to the team who helped set up). Morden Hall Park will be playing a key part in our inaugural Merton Pride, taking place 30th August THIS YEAR!

In December, we rounded off the year with our fabulous Christmas Disco! A huge thank you to the Commonside Café team for hosting us, not to mention the excellent catering. Their first ever evening event was a roaring success and we hope it will be the first of many more! This event would not have taken place without the hard work of our friend and DJ Cllr Gill Manly. A huge thank you to her, and to our special guest Drag Quing QueerAsAnAro (follow on Instagram) for their fabulous entertainment. We look forward to working together on future projects, including many more discos.

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Merton, Cllr Slawek Szczepanski, to this event where he officially launch Merton Pride 2025. We thank him for his support, and that of Merton Council, and leave you with these kind words from the mayor on the night.

Merton Pride is so much more than a one—day event. It is a powerful reminder of who we are as a community - diverse, inclusive, and compassionate. Today, we come together to acknowledge the strides we’ve made in promoting equality and the work that still lies ahead. By embracing one another’s differences and championing fairness, we help build a future where everyone can live authentically, without fear or being judged.
