Are you looking to start a family?
Fostering is one of the most meaningful ways you can make a difference in a young person’s life.Whether it’s for one night or several years, providing a stable, supportive home can be truly life-changing - for the child and for you.
For many LGBTQ+ couples, fostering is often a first step toward building a family. It’s a powerful way to offer love, care, and safety to a child who can’t live at home.
Becoming a foster carer usually takes between 3 to 6 months. Throughout your journey, Merton Fostering is here to support you - every step of the way, from your first enquiry to approval and beyond.
All LGBTQ+ people deserve safety, dignity, joy, and a future where they can thrive without apology.
On this page, we aim to signpost established professional services, particularly those aimed towards LGBTQ+ people, active in the London Borough of Merton.
If you provide or know of a service that you think should be featured on this page, please contact us.
